Easter Island: More than just the Moais

The gorgeous island, belong to the Chilean nation, and it is about 2,000 miles to the west from Chile. It is one of the world's most isolated inhabited islands, and it is situated in the South Pacific Ocean, near to the French Polynesia. The Island was discovered by the Dutch explorer, Jacob Roggeveen, on Easter (April 5) in 1772. Actually, he gave the island the name of the holiday.

The only way to get there is by plane, and the ticket cost about 700 dollars. The flight takes five hours. After that, you can go to Anakena beach – located 30 km from the town – and enjoy of the sun and the beautiful white sand and warm turquoise water. Near to that beach, you also have Ovahe where you can do skydiving.

If you don’t go with a lot of budget, or you like adventure, you can also rent a jeep and go by yourself to all of these things, and even go trekking.
