Assignment for my English Writing Class

Assignment:

Who? Usain Bolt

What? He shatters 100-Meter World Record

When? Sunday night

Where? The world track and field championships

Why? Because of his incredible result in the championship, he shatters the 100 meter world record that was even better than his result in Beijing.

I chose this article because I am a very big fan of sports, so I found it interesting sharing this incredible article about the new record of Usain bolt with my classmates, so they could know everything that makes news in our world.

Usain does it again

This weekend at the world track and field championship in Berlin, the professional runner, Usain Bolt – 22 years old – shatters the 100-Meter World Record, by having an incredible result time of 9.58 seconds in the competition.

The winner wasn’t all alone in the competition, Tyson Gay, who was considered like the only one who can beat Bolt, ran very well as to, setting a national record of 9.71. “I’m really happy Usain Bolt won the record,” The Competitor said. “I know that might sound strange. I knew it was humanly possible for someone to run that fast. Unfortunately it wasn’t me. I’m very happy with the race.”

One year ago, Usain Bolt, was better known because of his successful career running the 200 meter competition, and now, he can call himself as a legend, by becoming the first man to crack the 9.7-second barrier and the 9.6 barrier.

After crossing the winning line, he slapped his chest and kept running 100 more meters around the curve, celebrating his first world championship gold medal. “For me, it was all about going and winning, because I knew these guys were ready,” he said. “Tyson was doing well all season.” Said the winner.

Now he will have a new gold medal to decorate his house, with the other three Olympic gold medals he won last year in Beijing

Bolt’s achievements have transformed him into a global figure, turning him into an expensive buy for the game’s meet promoters. It was informed that he was reportedly paid $200,000, only to race the 200 meters in Switzerland earlier this year.
